TC & THE GROOVE FAMILY

TC & The Groove Family are a 9-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures and the unity that music can provide for everyone. Their sound reflects the diverse musical and cultural backgrounds at the core of the project, exploring grooves and genres including afrobeat, broken beat, jungle, jazz, and grime.

The band have sold out iconic venues including Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club and London’s Jazz Café, and have appeared at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, We Out Here, Green Man, Shambala, Boomtown, and WOMAD. They have also been invited to support the likes of Vieux Farka Touré, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, K.O.G, Nubiyan Twist, and Yussef Dayes, en route to becoming one of the most sought-after live acts on the UK jazz circuit.

TC & The Groove Family’s music has found support from tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Don Letts, and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6, plus support from BBC Introducing, Jazz FM, Rinse FM, NTS, and others. They’ve also been championed by major publications including Jazzwise and Songlines, with their songs featured in key editorial playlists across streaming platforms.

How many bands have the career longevity to release ten albums? They might have been perilously close to falling apart on various occasions in their history, but the Dub Pistols have rolled with the punches and are now gearing up to release their tenth album in early 2025.
It’s been a long road travelled, full of twists and turns, but with their legion of faithful fans and numerous collaborators and friends the Dubs are in a better place now than they’ve ever been with a new album, their own festival, a documentary, a book and more international tours on the horizon. These renegade Pistoleros are unstoppable!!

Their residency at Rob da Bank's celebrated Sunday Best parties led to The Cuban Brothers compering and hosting the main stage at Bestival since its inception in 2004 to the present day.
